On February 12th, 2016, The Factory 510 officially launched coworking at The Gate 510 at a massive celebration event featuring performers, art, food, music, and best of all, an exciting proclamation from the City of San Leandro!
The Factory 510 offers short term and drop in creative work spaces for the Bay Area’s art, tech, and maker communities. Users can access private suites, warehouse workspaces, communal work areas, and collaborative spaces, with a variety of flexible membership options to suit your project’s needs.
It’s all centered around The Gate 510’s massive Town Center, a 19,000 sf atrium/great room featuring an elegant kitchen with drinks and snacks, dining tables, creative group seating areas, drop-in desks, chill-out spaces, meeting pods, table games, and a gorgeous array of large-scale artworks and neon. This lively zocalo is designed to facilitate creative engagement and interaction between our Factory 510 members and The Gate 510’s incredible art/tech/maker tenant community.
The Town Center was in full swing for The Factory’s ART/LOVE/LAUNCH party, a 1940’s themed kickoff celebrating the building’s birth era (1947), which featured a big band, an outrageous dessert buffet, beer from Drake’s Brewing Company, signature cocktails from Verbena (both fellow tenants here at The Gate), aerial performances, dancing, and many more fabulous delights.
What’s more, in acknowledgment of The Factory 510’s launch and contribution to the city’s profile as a thriving center for creativity and technology at the heart of Silicon Valley, the Mayor’s Office of the City of San Leandro issued a formal proclamation declaring February 12th as “The Factory 510 and The Gate 510 Coworking Day in San Leandro.”
